Michigan State football will be hosting a big-time defensive prospect in the 2026 class later this month.
Jason Killop of On3 reported last week that four-star defensive lineman Jamarcus Whyce will visit Michigan State at the end of July. Whyce hails from Dayton, Ohio and ranked as one of the best players from the state in the 2026 class.
Whyce ranks as the No. 25 defensive lineman and No. 199 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 7 player from Ohio in the class.
Michigan State is one of nearly 20 programs to offer Whyce, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Boston College, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, Notre Dame, Purdue, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
