4-star edge Dominic Nichols visiting Georgia football

Four-star pass rusher Dominic Nichols did not wait long to plan a trip to visit with the Georgia Bulldogs after Kirby Smart and company extended a scholarship offer to him in April 2023. Nichols plans to take an unofficial visit to Athens on May 20.

Nichols is a member of the class of 2024. He plays high school football for Oakdale High School in Ijamsville, Maryland. The 6-foot-4, 245-pound edge rusher is considered the No. 31 player at his position, per 247Sports. Dominic Nichols the No. 422 recruit in the country and the No. 13 player in Maryland.

The four-star pass rusher does a good job of disengaging form opposing pass blockers. Dominic Nichols projects as a 3-4 outside linebacker or a 4-3 defensive end.

Dominic Nichols has an upcoming official visit planned with the Wisconsin Badgers. The Oakdale star has earned recent scholarship offers from Syracuse, Indiana, and NC State.

Nichols is a good run defender. The four-star defender displays excellent pursuit and is a strong contributor on special teams. College football coaches love players that are willing to help in all phases in the game.

Kirby Smart and Georgia football are off to a strong start with the class of 2024. However, Michigan and Ohio State have surpassed Georgia, who now has the nation’s third-ranked class of 2024. The 2024 cycle is packed with talent in Georgia, so the Bulldogs have a good chance to reclaim the recruiting crown.
