NEW DELHI: After a long-lasting drama and several twists and turns, the battlelines for the election to the Congress president’s post have finally been drawn. Leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge seems to have a clear advantage over Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor in the election to be held on October 17.
Though a third candidate KN Tripathi, former minister of Jharkhand, has also filed his nomination, the main contest, however, will remain between Kharge and Tharoor.
