Spending a ton of money on a single bottle of cleaning spray can seriously set you back when you consider the fact that you need to clean an entire house. Thankfully, Dollar Tree has alternatives that scrub and shine just as effectively as the name brands but cost a fraction of the price.
Here are four of our favorite Dollar Tree cleaning products that prove you don’t need to sacrifice quality to save money.
LA’s Totally Awesome All-Purpose Cleaner
- Price: $1.50
This product earned legendary status in the budget cleaning world. The powerful degreaser and multi-surface cleaner tackles everything from kitchen counters to car tires.
Dollar Tree sells the 20-ounce concentrate for $1.50. You mix two parts water to one part cleaner, which means one bottle actually makes 40 ounces of ready-to-use cleaner. Compare that to Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Multi-Surface Spray at Target, which costs $5.19 for just 16 ounces. LA’s Totally Awesome delivers more than twice the cleaning solution for less than one-third of the price.

The Works Toilet Bowl Cleaner
- Price: $1.50
The Works removes tough rust and hard water stains that other toilet cleaners leave behind. This makes it particularly valuable for households dealing with mineral-heavy water.
Dollar Tree sells a 24-ounce bottle for $1.50. Scrubbing Bubbles Power Stain Destroyer costs $4.28 for the same 24-ounce size.
The Works tackles stains that require multiple applications of standard toilet bowl cleaners. This actually saves money over time since you use less product to achieve the same results. One bottle handles jobs that might take two or three bottles of weaker cleaners.
Pink Stuff Dupe (Multi-Purpose Cleaning Paste)
- Price: $1.50
The Pink Stuff became a viral sensation on TikTok with thousands of before-and-after videos. Dollar Tree’s Multi-Purpose Cleaning Paste delivers similar results for much less.
Dollar Tree sells a 7-ounce container for $1.50, which works out to 21 cents per ounce. The name-brand Pink Stuff costs $6.29 for 17.63 ounces at Target (36 cents per ounce). That makes the Dollar Tree version about 40% cheaper per ounce.
Both versions work on tough stains, burnt pans, bathroom fixtures and other stubborn messes using similar formulas.
Brillo Basics Dish Spray (Dawn Powerwash Dupe)
- Price: $1.50
Dawn Powerwash dominated social media for its cleaning power, but Dollar Tree has a comparable alternative. Brillo Basics Dish Spray costs $1.50 for a 10-ounce bottle at Dollar Tree, which is 15 cents per ounce.
On the other hand, Dawn Powerwash sells for around $6.79 for a 16-ounce starter kit at CVS (42 cents per ounce). That makes the Brillo version about 64% cheaper per ounce.
In fact, a side-by-side test showed both products came out thick and performed identically on greasy pans. The Brillo spray removed all residue with one swipe, just like Dawn. The tester couldn’t tell the products apart without labels. That’s a great dupe!
