4 best new movies (and one godawful one) to watch this weekend on Hulu, Peacock, HBO Max and more (August 1-2)

This week saw a couple 2026 blockbusters trickle onto streaming platforms, just in time to keep us out of this heatwave and in the AC. Leading the pack is a darkly funny romance between two stars of "The Odyssey" — "The Drama" — landing on HBO Max.

Over on Hulu, you can catch "The Devil Wears Prada 2" for more of the charm that made the first one such a cult classic. For the #gamers and families with kiddos, "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" jumped from PVOD to Peacock this week, a nostalgia flashbang of a movie that I'm still salty didn't get another earworm from Jack Black's Bowser.
