NEW DELHI: Australian opener Travis Head delivered a brutal assault on Sam Curran, smashing 30 runs off a single over in the first T20I at the Rose Bowl in Southampton, as the visitors cruised to a 28-run victory over England. Head's fireworks were the highlight of the match, helping Australia post a competitive total of 179, which proved too much for the hosts.
The carnage took place in the fifth over of the Australian innings when Curran replaced Jofra Archer in the attack. Head started the assault with two boundaries and then smoked three consecutive sixes, before finishing it off with another four. This resulted in Head scoring a staggering 30 runs in that over.
