AHMEDABAD: Underwhelming opening partnerships, the0 inability of middle-order batters to convert starts, lack of Powerplay wickets - these are some of the many issues that Indian women will look to address in the series deciding third and final ODI against New Zealand women here on Tuesday.
Openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, the likes of Yastika Bhatia, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues will all be under the scanner. Tejal Hasabnis made a measured 42 in the first ODI but her unfortunate dismissal in the second ODI put paid to a promising knock. Only lower-order batters Radha Yadav and Saima Thakor have shown intent.
