£3m Ayrshire housing development opens on site of former council depot

Fourteen modern and energy-efficient homes have been completed on the site of a former council depot in Saltcoats.

The development at Springvale Gardens officially opened this week and is part of an ambitious North Ayrshire Council commitment to build 1,625 new homes across the region.

It includes six general needs houses, six homes suitable for wheelchair users and two amenity bungalows.
