A man was rushed to hospital in Edinburgh on Sunday morning after he was struck down by a car.
Police have appealed for information after the 37-year-old was taken for urgent treatment at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following the collision at around 12.50am.
According to officers, the man had been hit by a car on Broad Street in Cowdenbeath, Fife, before emergency services quickly closed off the road.

His current condition and the extent of his injuries is unclear.
Shut off for around 10 hours, the road has now reopened, with police urging anyone with dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

Constable Paul MacPherson said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may be able to help to get in touch.
“We would be especially keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.“Anyone with information or footage can contact officers on 101 quoting incident number 0179 of Sunday, 2 October, 2022.”
