36 people have passed away in the past week with a confirmed or suspected link to Covid-19 - down nine from the previous week.
As of October 8, 15,817 deaths have been registered in Scotland where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate, according to statistics published today by National Records of Scotland (NRS).
There were six deaths in South Lanarkshire, and four deaths in both Glasgow City and City of Edinburgh. In total, 15 council areas (out of 32) had at least one death involving COVID-19 last week.
