A new 349-bed hotel is set to be constructed as part of the Haymarket Edinburgh development and will open in 2025.
The capital will be home to Scotland’s first ever Hyatt Centric Hotel and will be situated within the major new development at the West End of the city centre.
Edinburgh City Council agreed to a 25-year lease with M&G Real Estate and developer Qmile Group of the Hyatt Centric property.
Construction on the venue will begin immediately, and will also hold offices, shops and a public square.

The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) will manage the seven storey building after striking a franchise agreement with Hyatt, according to Business Travel News Europe.
The 349-bed hotel in the Haymarket Edinburgh development, which will also include offices, shops and a public square, is scheduled to open in 2025 with construction due to start “imminently” on the seven-storey property.
A hotel school as well as a training academy will also be found within the Hyatt Centric Hotel.
