Three men have been arrested as suspected drugs with a street value of almost 300,000 euro (£260,000) has been found during two searches in Limerick and Dublin, Ireland. Other items found included gun ammunition and large amounts of cash.
Some 3.1 kilograms of suspected cocaine, valued at 210,000 euro (£182,000), and a large amount of cash were found during the first bust by Gardai at a house in Limerick on Monday afternoon. A man in his 50s was arrested in relation to the findings.
Another search took place in Dublin, where three men - including a teenager and two in their 40s - were arrested in relation to their findings before being detained and charged by Garda.
The Divisional Drugs Unit found more than 83,800 euro (£72,500) of drugs, which included suspected cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine, alprazolam tablets, cannabis and heroin in numerous houses. Gardai also seized 10,000 euro (£8,600) in cash and ammunition at the scene.
The seized substances will be analyzed by Forensic Science Ireland as the investigation continues.
