The first trailer for Ghost War, Prime Video's feature-length Jack Ryan movie that is set to serve as a proper send-off to the series in lieu of a fourth season, is finally upon us.
In the brief clip, which can be viewed below, Jack (John Krasinski) is back and the stakes are higher than ever. He reunites with now-retired Mike November (Michael Kelly) and former CIA boss James Greer (Wendell Pierce), and as they are the only three who possess enough knowledge to take down an unseen enemy. Per the official synopsis, the trio teams up with "an unlikely new partner – razor-sharp MI6 officer Emma Marlowe (Sienna Miller) in order to navigate a treacherous web of betrayal, facing a past they thought was long put to rest" (H/T Deadline).
Andrew Bernstein, who helmed Jack Ryan season 2, directs from a screenplay by Aaron Rabin, who wrote season 4. The cast includes Betty Gabriel, Mckenna Bridger, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, and JJ Feild.
This marks the sixth film in the Jack Ryan franchise, with the last being 2014's Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit starring Chris Pine. The Prime Video series started up in 2018 and lasted for four seasons, officially ending in 2023. What's next for the franchise is unclear, though enough positive reaction and views on Ghost War may very well reignite interest in the Prime Video series.
Jack Ryan: Ghost War is set to hit Prime Video on May 20. For more, check out our list of the best Prime Video movies to stream right now.
