Tillman at the centre of all things good
The American looks to be a cut above. There was little fanfare when he signed from Bayern Munich in an initial loan move. However, from the snippets we’ve seen of the playmaker so far, he looks very much capable of providing that little bit of magic to win a game on his own. He has the flicks, the tricks, the incisive passing ability and importantly in games like today’s, he can handle the ball in really right areas. He’s going to be a key figure at Ibrox in the season ahead and could well become a mainstay for Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Yilmaz makes his debut
The young Turkish international made his full debut for the club with his first start since joining. With Barisic’s recent poor form, Yilmaz was slotted in at left-back with van Bronckhorst clearly viewing the game as an ideal chance to bed him into the Scottish game He had one notable slack touch which was poor, but it’s absolutely fair to cut him some slack. He didn’t do much of note in the first-half, but again it’s difficult to judge from one performance. Was caused quite a few issues up against the physicality and athleticism from Killie’s Alebiosu.
Welcome back to El Bufalo
Rangers’ key man is back. The Colombian came off the bench to seal the point at Ibrox. He scored in the dying moments after tapping home at the back post. He was set up after a good run by Rabbi Matondo. His goal came in his first appearance since March, when he was ruled out for several months with a thigh injury. It was important to get some minutes into his legs ahead of Tuesday night’s do-or-die Champions League qualifying second-leg. There’s little doubt he will start that match now.
