The 2022 NFL season is nearing the midway point, and Week 8 will start with an interesting battle across the pond.
This Sunday, on Halloween weekend, the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars will square off at Wembley Stadium in London. Kickoff will be at 9:30 PM ET on ABC and ESPN+. It’s been a struggle sometimes for Russell Wilson’s Broncos and Trevor Lawrence’s Jaguars this year, but it’s the NFL. In a crazy year, this could be a fascinating battle between two AFC mainstays.
Why should you watch this game? Let’s break it down with a few reasons to tune in early on Sunday.
1
Trevor Lawrence and Patrick Surtain II are squaring off
Lawrence seems to be a part of a bright future in Jacksonville once he develops.
TOUCHDOWN TREVOR!!!! Trevor Lawrence tosses his third TD pass of the day, this time to Marvin Jones, and the Jaguars are running the Chargers out of their own building.
Have a day, Trev!

At the same time, Surtain II has been a lockdown force for a dominant Denver defense.
Patrick Surtain II is that dude. 6’2 200+ pound corners shouldn’t be able to transition like this. pic.twitter.com/nCfg3fzMYM

Russell Wilson could have a big rebound
We haven’t seen the high-level Russell Wilson we’ve become accustomed to watching over the years, but that doesn’t mean he can’t turn it around.
When the 33-year-old quarterback is “on,” few other signal-callers can match the Denver quarterback. If the Broncos are to pull out of their current tailspin, they’ll need their talented veteran under center to step up.
And after recovering from a partially torn hamstring, head coach Nathaniel Hackett thinks Wilson could return to play in London. Buckle up.

Travis Etienne Jr. is electric
At his best, Etienne Jr. can be one of the top backs in the game.
Congrats if you drafted, or were able to acquire #Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr. in #FantasyFootball
He’s a league winner.
Happy Etienne SZN! 😎

Seriously: He’s got some kind of unique vision in the hole.
Travis Etienne Jr. with his first career TD and the #Jaguars went for two to take the lead 8-7. #NYGvsJAX https://t.co/A4lpGp69UA

After an awesome 100-plus-yard rushing performance against the Giants, Etienne Jr. very well might carry over this momentum to England.
