The Chicago Bulls have made some solid moves this summer as they continue their quest to put together a playoff-caliber roster. In addition to re-signing Nikola Vucevic and Coby White to three-year deals, the Bulls brought in Jevon Carter and Torrey Craig, reshaping the team’s depth.
At the end of this past season, Arturas Karnisovas said the team had no intention of rebuilding the roster, and if that’s their plan, they need to make serious improvements to the roster. Adding Carter and Craig was a great start, but they cannot slow the effort, especially with the free agents left on the board.
Here are three free agents the Bulls could still target after the first five days of NBA free agency.
3 players Bulls could still target after 5 days of NBA free agency: Christian Wood
The Dallas Mavericks have moved on from Christian Wood, and if he’s willing to take a backup role (which may not be the case, given his year in Dallas), the Bulls should go after him. He’d give them a great scoring punch off the bench, and his 3-point shooting would be very useful.
3 players Bulls could still target after 5 days of NBA free agency: Darius Bazley
If the Bulls wanted to take a chance on a young player, Darius Bazley could be an intriguing option. He’s a super athletic power forward who could give them some minutes at that position, and his 3-point shot has shown signs of improvement, too.
3 players Bulls could still target after 5 days of NBA free agency: Kendrick Nunn
After getting traded to the Washington Wizards, Kendrick Nunn rediscovered his 3-point shot. For a Bulls team in need of as much guard depth it can get its hands on, he would give it a solid option to bring off the bench.
