Hulu is one of the best streaming services for finding and watching new movies. It regularly adds classics to its library, and, because it's owned by Disney, it also adds new releases from several Disney-owned studios. It even adds new releases from a handful of notable indie studios.

In short, Hulu is the perfect place to start building your next movie marathon. This weekend, I have three movies that were just added to Hulu and are a must-watch. "Is This Thing On?" is a comedy-drama starring Will Arnett, Laura Dern and Bradley Cooper that got a lot of buzz at the end of last year, and while centered on a broken relationship, it ends on a high note. "King Ivory" takes a very different tone; it's an action thriller about the insidious nature of the fentanyl trade in Oklahoma. Finally, you'll want to check out "Theater Camp," a mockumentary that will brighten your day and have you laughing.

So, here are the three new to Hulu movies you need to stream this weekend. For more recommendations, check out the full list of everything new to Hulu in March 2026.

'Is This Thing On?' (2025)

Genre: Comedy-drama

What's it about? Alex (Will Arnett) and Tess (Laura Dern) are ending their marriage. Now separated, they each decide to pursue their own passions. Alex tries his hand at stand-up comedy, while Tess returns to her previously on-hold volleyball career. But as they explore themselves, they realize their love story might not be done just yet.

Why you should watch it: This movie has a great cast and has Bradley Cooper in the director's chair, which tends to produce good results. Plus, it's a relationship drama that ends on a positive note, which is always a nice change of pace.

'King Ivory' (2024)

Genre: Action thriller

What's it about? James Badge Dale stars as Layne West, a Tulsa, Oklahoma, cop who suddenly finds himself personally entangled in the city's illicit drug trade.

Why you should watch it: "King Ivory" is not based on a true story per se, but it brings in a lot of real-life tales from the law enforcement officials and others that writer/director John Swab interviewed for this movie. If you want a gritty, grounded action movie, this is it.

'Theater Camp' (2023)

Genre: Mockumentary comedy

What's it about? When theater summer camp owner Joan Rubinsky (Amy Sedaris) slips into a coma, her son Troy (Jimmy Tatro) is suddenly tasked with running the camp. There's just one problem: the camp is running out of money.

Why you should watch it: Simply put, this movie is funny. Like, really funny. Plus, it's loaded with acting talent, including Ben Platt, Molly Gordon, Ayo Edebiri and, for a brief moment, Sedaris. So if you want something on the lighter side, "Theater Camp" is a newly added Hulu movie worth watching.
