January is nearly over (and not a moment too soon), and Netflix’s 2026 slate is well underway. The world’s biggest streaming service has already rolled out plenty of excellent original content this year, and the flood of tentpole movies and shows isn’t slowing down as we head into February.
This week will be dominated by one Netflix original, “Bridgerton.” The popular period drama is back, and this latest season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). Can this dreamy member of the affluent family find love? Here’s hoping. Meanwhile, if you’re not quite so swept up in high society courtships, Netflix also offers a Gerard Butler-fronted action-thriller and a new stand-up special by a very funny British comedian.
