Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Tyson Campbell, wide receiver Zay Jones, and offensive lineman Walker Little will all be back at practice this week ahead of a Week 8 road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I anticipate them doing something today in practice and we’ll go with that,” Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said of Jones and Little.
“He’ll be in practice today,” Pederson later said of Campbell. “We’ll limit him, but we’ll see where he’s at at the week goes.”
Jones and Little have both been out of action since suffering knee injuries in the Jaguars’ Week 5 win against the Buffalo Bills. Campbell suffered a hamstring injury in a Week 6 win against the Indianapolis Colts.
All three players have been non-participants in every practice since suffering their injuries.
While Jacksonville has managed to win without the trio, getting them back on the field would be big. Jones was the team’s second leading receiver last season and had two touchdown receptions in the three games he’s played in 2023. Little was arguably the team’s best offensive lineman before and after moving to left guard, and Campbell is the team’s No. 1 cornerback.
In addition to those three working their way back, the Jaguars are close to getting DaVon Hamilton back in the lineup. The defensive tackle has been out while dealing with a bacterial infection that has sidelined him since August. Hamilton was listed as a full participant in all three practices last week, but didn’t play against the New Orleans Saints.
