3 free agents Manchester United can target as Erik Ten Hag 'scours' for bargains

Manchester United may be scouring the free transfer market this summer as they hope to rebuild their side.

New boss Erik ten Hag has a challenge on his hands after a nightmare season at Old Trafford.

Change is certainly afoot.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils don't have a huge budget to blow in the closed season which may prompt them to shop in the out of contract section of the player store.

Man United 's budget has been also been dented by their failure to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Paul Pogba is set to depart this summer, with the likes of Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Nemaji Matic and Juan Mata also likely to leave the Premier League club in the coming weeks.

It means that there are huge boots to fill with the new gaffer likely to be eyeing up replacement stars such as Ousmane Dembele who is out of contract at Barcelona this summer.

Others such as Juventus' Paulo Dybala and Real Madrid midfielder Isco could be of interest too, with both becoming free agents at the end of this campaign.

Ousmane Dembélé

The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season.

And despite stating he may be open to staying at the La Liga club, United could snap him up.

The 24-year-old winger was a member of the France squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, also featuring at UEFA Euro 2020.

Paulo Dybala

The star has confirmed that he will leave Juventus this summer.

The 29-year-old will soon be out of contract with the Italian giants after the club reneged on their terms of a lucrative £67million deal.

However, United may need to act quick as Borussia Dortmund joined the race for his signature in a bid to replace Manchester City bound Erling Haaland.

Isco

The Spanish midfielder will be a free agent this summer as his Real Madrid contract is set to end.

The 30-year-old has made 23 appearances during this La Liga season, scoring 37 goals since joining Real back in 2013.

Other big names with expiring contracts include AC Milan's Frank Kessie and Christain Eriksen who is currently at Brentford

Could any of these be heading to Old Trafford in time for next campaign?
