3 best new to Prime Video movies to stream this weekend (April 24-26)

Prime Video is one of the best streaming services on offer for movie lovers. Amazon's streamer offers a solid library of new shows and movies that's regularly being refreshed but that can mean keeping up with all those releases can be a big challenge — and that's where we come in.

Every week, we look through what's been added to Amazon Prime Video and pick out just three new movies that we think belong on your watchlist, so you don't waste your downtime scrolling through genres.

This week, Prime Video's got something for everyone, whether you're after thrills, chills, or a cozy romance. Here are the three new to Prime Video movies I'd stream this weekend.

'Regretting You' (2025)

Looking for romance this weekend? Josh Boone's Colleen Hoover adaptation has just landed on Prime Video this week, and should fit the bill.

"Regretting You" introduces viewers to Morgan Grant (Allison Williams) and her daughter, Clara (McKenna Grace). The film explores what's left behind after an accident reveals a shocking betrayal and forces the pair to rediscover life and love in the wake of loss. It didn't win critics over, but won praise from moviegoers, and could be perfect to cosy up in front of this weekend.

'The Conjuring: Last Rites' (2025)

Michael Chaves' "The Conjuring: Last Rites" is the ninth film in this supernatural horror franchise, and reunites investigators Ed and Lorrain Warren (played for the final time by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) for another terrifying case. Inspired by the story of the Smurl family haunting, the Warrens head to a quiet Pennsylvanian home, which has become ground zero for a relentless supernatural siege.

It received mixed reviews upon arrival, but managed to become the biggest movie in the franchise yet, and if you're looking for a scare this weekend, this could fit the bill.

'The Running Man' (2025)

Edgar Wright's "The Running Man" proved to be a popular addition to Prime Video last weekend (it's still in the top 10!), so I figure it's worth calling out again, if you haven't had a chance to check it out just yet.

It follows down-on-his-luck everyman Ben Richards (Glen Powell). In an effort to earn enough money to buy the medicine his sick daughter needs, Ben signs up for the most popular show on TV, "The Running Man." His task? Go on the run and survive 30 days. Successful "Runners" stand to earn a colossal cash prize if they make it out alive... but as he's pursued by the show's "Hunters," a team of deadly professional assassins who are out to get him, the odds are very much not in his favor. And when our angry antihero proves far more capable than everyone expected, he becomes a fan favorite with viewers at home ... making him a threat to the system that "The Network" has built.
