3 best new to Prime Video movies to stream this weekend (April 10-12)

Prime Video is one of the best streaming services on offer for movie lovers. Amazon's streamer offers a solid library of new shows and movies that's almost always being refreshed, though that amount of choice can be a blessing and a curse — how do you actually choose your next watch?

That's where we come in. Each week, we put together a quick list of three recent additions to Prime Video that are actually worth watching. That way, you don't need to waste any time scrolling through genres, Prime Video Channels, or categories; you can just get straight down to streaming.

Prime Video hasn't really made any major new additions through the week, so we're still mostly relying on the initial wave of new movies and shows added to the streaming service at the start of April — with one exception. This weekend, Amazon is welcoming an Oscar-winning (and incredibly impactful) war drama from Jonathan Glazer, so I'm recommending that plus two recent and noteworthy additions to the platform for you to catch up on, if you haven't already.

'Crime 101'

"Crime 101" was among the many new additions to Prime Video's movie library on April 1, and this 2026 crime thriller has since remained the platform's newest must-watch; it's been sitting right at the top of Prime Video's streaming charts ever since.

If you didn't catch Bart Layton's new thriller in theaters earlier this year, "Crime 101" follows an elusive master thief (Chris Hemsworth) who plans and executes robberies along LA's 101 freeway. We join him as he's on the cusp of the score of a lifetime, and he crosses paths with a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry) and the lone detective (Mark Ruffalo) who has been pursuing him relentlessly.

Already streamed it? Here are five more crime thriller movies to watch after "Crime 101" which you might want to add to your watchlist instead.

'Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning' (2025)

While it hasn't managed to outmuscle "Crime 101," "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning" (which came to Prime Video on April 3) is another of the streamer's most popular watches, and I can totally understand why.

After all, I reviewed "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning" for Tom's Guide last summer, and while I wouldn't say it is one of the best "Mission: Impossible" movies, and I stand by what I said about the film in 2025, it's still worth watching just to see the film's death-defying action stunt sequences.

If you're not up on Ethan Hunt's (Tom Cruise) latest outing, "The Final Reckoning" picks up after the events of "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning," and sees him and his IMF team continuing the fight to try and prevent the rogue AI known as "The Entity" from destroying human civilization.

'The Zone of Interest' (2023)

I'm rounding out the list with a new arrival: "The Zone of Interest." Released in 2023, this critically-acclaimed drama is a truly horrifying, unforgettable war drama which Rotten Tomatoes' critics consensus pitches thus: "Dispassionately examining the ordinary existence of people complicit in horrific crimes, "The Zone of Interest" forces us to take a cold look at the mundanity behind an unforgivable brutality."

Based on a 2014 novel by Martin Amis, "The Zone of Interest" revolves around the commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss (Christian Friedel), and his wife Hedwig ("Project Hail Mary's" Sandra Hüller) and their family, who lead a charmed life in their house that backs right onto the camp, indifferent to the atrocities being carried out right under their noses.
