2NE1 release new dates for upcoming Welcome Back tour

2NE1 have added an extra date to their upcoming reunion world tour, named Welcome Back.

The K-pop sensations are due to kick off their upcoming tour with three nights at the Olympic Hall in South Korea this October before heading to several Asian cities for the rest of the year and early 2025.

Locations for their upcoming tour include Bangkok, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manilla, and Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta.

An extra date has since been added in Jakarta due to demand, with fans urging the group to consider more dates at other locations.

Only venues in Asia have been confirmed for the tour, and there’s no news of any dates in Europe so far. However, more shows are expected to be announced in the coming months.

News of the group’s upcoming tour came months after 2NE1’s management company, YG, confirmed the band were reuniting for their 15th anniversary.

The quartet is made up of singers CL, Dara, Bom and Minzy, who initially performed together between 2009 and 2016 before calling it quits.

The award-winning group then came together in 2022 for a Coachella performance before confirming this year’s anniversary tour.

"This is the moment we've dreamed of, and we're ready to show who we truly are through our original music and make everyone dance along," the group said at the start of October.

Dara, whose real name is Sandara Park, also added: "It feels surreal – ten years is no short time. As I look back, it feels like it went by in an instant, and I doubt I’ll fully realize it until we step on stage."

As well at 2NE1’s upcoming reunion, another K-pop band is also back by popular demand.

BLACKPINK, another group managed by YG Entertainment, will also reportedly return to the stage in 2025 after splitting last year.
