2ManyDJs have announces that their upcoming show at Brixton O2 Academy will not go ahead after an incident at the venue on Thursday which has left three people in a critical condition.

Eight people were taken to hospital after a crowd surge at Nigerian singer Asake’s performance when a number of fans reportedly tried to get in without a ticket. The show was stopped halfway through.

Belgian duo 2ManyDJs – who were due to take to the stage on Saturday night – have now decided to postpone.

They took to social media to update fans and share their support for those injured, writing: “It is with pain in our hearts that we have to announce that due to the terrible events that happened at O2 Academy Brixton last night, we are being forced to postpone tomorrow’s show.

“The new date will be on Sat 18th Feb and all tickets will be transferable or refundable.”

‘We understand that many of you are travelling from afar to make it to London for this, but hopefully you will all be available again to celebrate on this new date.”

They signed off saying: “Our hearts go out to those who were injured. Love Dave & Steph.”

In a statement shared on Instagram, 27-year-old Asake – real name Ahmed Ololade – said: “My heart is with those who were injured last night and caused any form of discomfort. I pray you get well soonest. I am also in the process of reaching out to individuals.”
