Some animal rescue stories are heartbreaking at first, but deeply hopeful by the end. The Animal Rescue Site by GreaterGood regularly shares emotional stories of animals who survived abandonment, cruelty, injury, illness, or neglect, only to be given a second chance by rescuers, shelter workers, volunteers, and adopters who refused to give up on them.
From dogs left tied to fences and puppies rescued from freezing woods to severely injured animals slowly learning to trust again, these stories show just how much kindness can change a life.
We gathered some of the most emotional and unforgettable rescue stories shared by the page, so scroll down to read them for yourself and vote for the ones that moved you the most.
