Ohio State has been somewhat reluctant to go into the transfer portal and add players, but when there is an obvious need, head coach Ryan Day will make a move.
One of those moves was to bring in former Ole Miss cornerback Davison Igbinosun. The freshman All-American entered the Ohio State program with extremely high expectations and after the spring, it looks like he has met them.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsBrad Crawford of 247Sports assembled a list of eleven players across the nation who created big-time buzz this spring and Igbinosun was picked as one of them.
The 6-foot, 2-inch, 190-pound corner brings much-needed size to the Buckeye secondary, but it’s not just about that. Crawford believes that Igbinosun “established himself with a guaranteed spot” in the two-deep, challenging for a starting spot.

Although Igbinosun didn’t stand out too much during the Scarlet and Gray game, it was about his work done throughout every other spring practice. Expect to hear his name early and often this fall.
