Michele Lyn Hundley Smith was 38 years old when she disappeared on 31 December 2001. According to the Rockingham County Sheriff's office, reports said Smith had gone to K-Mart in Virginia for holiday shopping. On Sunday, the sheriff's office announced that Smith had been located after detectives received a lead on her disappearance.
