The porch isn’t just a threshold; it’s the epicenter of the action. Front or back, it’s where we make grand exits and even grander arrivals, where we greet guests just as often as we sit back and do absolutely nothing at all.
And since that’s rather the point, it’s got to be really chic: lantern wall lights that set the mood just right (we’re loving Pooky’s colorful collaboration with Novogratz), geraniums saying hello from a terracotta footed planter, a punchy striped Sunbrella storage ottoman cleverly concealing last week’s patio cushions (we’re firm believers in seasonal outfit changes), and a swivel chair every bit as comfortable as the one in your living room (thank you, Drew Barrymore).
