22-year-old man stabbed in incident in Cardiff

A 22-year-old man is in hospital after being stabbed in Cardiff. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening, according to South Wales Police.

The incident happened in West Close in Butetown at around 5pm on Friday, January 27, officers say. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Detective Inspector Tim Jones has appealed for information from the public in helping the force ascertain the full details of the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

“South Wales Police was called at around 5pm yesterday (Friday January 27) to reports of an assault on West Close, Butetown,” DI Jones said. “Officers attended and found a 22-year-old man had been stabbed.

“The victim was taken to hospital where his condition is believed to be not life threatening. Enquiries are ongoing to ascertain the full circumstances of the incident.”
