A 21-year-old woman has died after being hit by a Garda car in Co Donegal in the early hours of Sunday morning.

An investigation has been launched following the tragic incident which took palce at around 3am on Sunday, May 21, in the Ludden area of Buncrana.

The road remains closed this morning while technical examinations are carried out, the Irish Mirror reports.
