The PGA Tour wrapped its Florida Swing with the Valspar Championship near Tampa, offering a $9.1 million purse with $1.638 million to the winner.
Matt Fitzpatrick got the big check and the satisfaction of going one better than a week ago, when he finished second to Cam Young at the Players Championship. He only made four bogeys all week at the tough Copperhead course and was the only player in the field to shoot four rounds in the 60s.
