If you are a fan or even a casual observer of Michigan State football and in particular, their recruiting process, it doesn’t get much better than an MSU vs. Michigan recruiting battle, and that’s where it looks like things might be heading with 2026 ATH Danel Odom.
On Thursday, Odom announced that he received an offer from the Wolverines, and then, about 28 minutes later, he announced an offer from the Spartans.

That’s just good in-state rivalry stuff right there. Odom also stood out at a summer camp in East Lansing today, which explains the offer:
