Michigan State hosted an elite edge rusher prospect in the 2025 class on Thursday.
Four-star edge rusher Kelan Butler of Jefferson, Ga. took an unofficial visit to Michigan State on Thursday, according to photos from his Twitter page. 247Sports is reporting that he was also on campus on Wednesday.
Butler ranks as the No. 22 edge rusher and No. 242 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class.
Michigan State is one of more than 10 schools to already extend an offer to Butler. Other notable schools showing interest by offering him are Michigan, Arkansas, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech.
