Last season the Cincinnati Bengals were one of the best teams in the NFL, just missing the Super Bowl by a single game. But this season, injuries to quarterback Joe Burrow have brought this team back to Earth despite lots of talent on both sides of the football. There’s just no replacing a franchise quarterback. But the 2024 NFL draft should be a great chance for Cincinnati to fill multiple starting spots.
1 - Offensive tackle
Starting offensive tackle Jonah Williams is going to hit free agency and if he leaves, this is going to be the top spot to find a starter whether it’s via the draft or free agency.
2 - Wide receiver
The Bengals have a pair of receivers headed to free agency so we expect them to address this in the first two rounds as insurance in case Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd both leave.
3 - EDGE
Depth behind Trey Hendrickson and Carl Lawson is needed here as a player who can eventually start.
4 - Cornerback
We like what the Bengals are doing at cornerback but still need to add at least one more guy who can line up inside and outside.
5 - Defensive line
The Bengals can always add playmakers in the middle of the defensive line and with free agency coming for D.J. Reader, this could be a higher priority.
6 - Running back
Without Samaje Perine, the Bengals are really putting a huge workload on Joe Mixon. Finding a player to spell him at times will be a high priority.
