This season, the Chicago Bears seem to find themselves in a tough spot. The team has quarterback Justin Fields who the coaches seem to have no idea how to best utilize and who is currently injured, only making his future more murky. Let’s take a look at the Bears needs for the 2024 NFL draft and keeping in mind Fields’ future might not be in Chicago.
1 - Quarterback
If the Bears decide to move on from Fields, they should have some great options with two high first-round picks. This is a great quarterback class so if the Bears have any doubts, this is the draft to replace him.
2 - Wide receiver
Regardless of who is playing quarterback next season, the Bears have a great chance to land an elite wide receiver for them to throw to.
3 - Cornerback
Jaylon Johnson is a great player but we aren’t even sure if he will be on the team next year. This cornerback class is solid, especially in the second round.
4 - Edge rusher
The Bears are struggling to sack the quarterback with only 13 total sacks and the team leader, Yannick Ngakoue only has three.
5 - Interior offensive ine
Whether it is a pure center or a swing interior offensive lineman who can convert to center, the Bears need to upgrade the position.
6 - Running back
The Bears leading rusher this season is D’Onta Foreman who only has 367 yards and the Bears have only had one 1,000-yard running back since 2017. Even if it isn’t an early pick, the Bears have to try and upgrade the position.
