The New York Giants (5-8), who just a month ago were considered to be a candidate for the top pick in next year’s NFL draft, are turning their season around after three straight victories.
The team’s latest win came on Monday Night Football where they recovered late to defeat the Green Bay Packers, 24-22, with a walk-off field goal as time expired.
As of Tuesday morning, they are now projected to select 8th overall in the 2024 NFL draft, per Tankathon.
Other outlets have the Giants selecting 9th overall, but based on the SOS (strength of schedule) tiebreaker, they are currently 8th.
There are five other teams with 5-8 records: the Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, and Los Angeles Chargers.
The Giants’ current SOS of .516 places them behind the Bears, Raiders, and Jets and ahead of the Titans and Chargers.
