If the NFL regular season ended today, the New York Giants (1-5) would be selecting fifth overall in the 2024 NFL draft, per Tankathon.
The Chicago Bears (1-5) would select first and second overall as they hold the 0-6 Carolina Panthers’ selection that was acquired in the Bryce Young deal, plus their own.
The Denver Broncos (1-5) would select third followed by the Arizona Cardinals (1-5).
The Giants would then be on the clock with the fifth pick followed by the 1-5 New England Patriots.
The Giants currently have six selections in next year’s draft, one in each of the first six rounds. They traded their seventh-round pick earlier this year to the Arizona Cardinals for linebacker Isaiah Simmons.
Also per Tankathon, the Giants would have the 36th, 67th, 102nd, 143rd, and 183rd picks from Rounds 2-6.
With the fifth overall pick, they mock Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu to the Giants followed by Texas wide receiver Adonai Mitchell at No. 36 and Boston College interior offensive lineman Christian Mahogany at No. 67.
No quarterback? We’ll see if that changes between now and then.
