The Seattle Seahawks began their second round with a rare set of back-to-back picks. The first of which was defensive end Boye Mafe from the University of Minnesota, at the No. 40 overall selection.
Perhaps the only unit on the Seahawks more critiqued than the offensive line has been the defensive line. Despite some late season surges in 2020 and 2021, the defensive line has routinely struggled to make opposing quarterbacks uncomfortable.
Mafe fills a major need for the Seahawks and Seattle wasted little time addressing it. Here are the top reactions to the selection:
Let’s go Boye Mafe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s get it!!!!

Boye Mafe is a really good edge rusher. Powerful hands. When he hits his initial footwork it's beautiful because he can do some damage. Good pick by the #Seahawks

YES!!!
Kenneth Walker is my Russell Wilson & Tyler Lockett over the last decade. Just simply one of my favorite players in all of college football.
Look MSU Coach Mel Tucker in the eyes, as I did a few times, & ask him about Walker & you’ll know why SEA made this pick

Big fan of those two picks for the #Seahawks. Boye Mafe has everything needed to be a big-time pass rusher. Kenneth Walker carried MSU and was one of the best players in CFB last year. They added value here. Great pair of picks.

Boye Mafe reminds me of Michael Bennett. LOVE this pick for Seattle.

With the first of two picks in a row in the second round, the #Seahawks pick Minnesota DE Boye Mafe, who many thought would be a first rounder.

You guys will love Mafe! He’s still pretty raw but tons of talent.

Love this pick. Huge character. This kid is going to be special.

He's like Taylor guys. A DE/LB type. We are a 3-4 now. He'll be a pass rusher
