This week the NFL scouting combine begins in what will be the most important job interview of these NFL draft prospects’ lives. The Pittsburgh Steelers will be at the combine in full force with a keen eye on the quarterback position.
One quarterback the Steelers won’t get to see throw this week is former Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral. According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, Corral is still working his way back from an ankle injury and won’t throw. It’s unlikely Corral is going to be able in any agility drills as well.
Corral is a guy who should be on the Steelers radar and since he wasn’t at the Senior Bowl, will be a player they could have evaluated at the combine. Now Pittsburgh will have to wait until March 23 and Corral’s pro day to see how he measures up against other athletic throwers like Malik Willis and Desmond Ridder.
Ole Miss QB Matt Corral won’t throw this week at the combine as he continues to work his way back from an ankle injury suffered in the Sugar Bowl, source said.
Corral resumed light throwing two weeks ago and the plan is to be full-go for pro day March 23.
