The Scottish National Party has become the largest party in Perth and Kinross Council, with 16 of the 40 seats.
The SNP gained one more seat and now hold 16, replacing the Conservatives on top who now have 14.
There are now four Independent councillors, two Liberal Democrat councillors and two Labour councillors in the region.
Perth and Kinross was previously a minority Conservative administration before the May 6 count.
Speaking immediately after the final ward was announced, Perthshire North MSP John Swinney said: "This is an absolutely outstanding result for the SNP.
"We have restored the political leadership of Perth and Kinross. It's a big increase and we now have the opportunity to move Perth and Kinross forward under new leadership."
The next few days will likely see the SNP and Conservatives attempt to form coalitions to increase their ranks and possibly create a majority administration.
