Gurugram: The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Friday sought the opinion of its empanelled psychologist as to whether a second psychological evaluation of the minor accused of killing a Class 2 student would help in determining “if he was mature enough in 2017 to understand the consequences of the offence”.
The Supreme Court, on July 13, referred back the Gurgaon school murder case to the JJB, asking the latter to decide if a fresh psychological evaluation of the physical, mental and maturity level of the accused would be relevant at this stage because he is now 21 years old.
