200 Degrees to celebrate third cafe in Nottingham by giving away 200 free coffees

There's a treat in store for caffeine lovers when 200 Degrees celebrates the opening of its third coffee shop in Nottingham by giving the first 200 customers a free coffee. The Nottingham-based coffee roaster is cementing its place in its home city with the new shop near the Victoria Centre in Milton Street on Monday, May 9.

The 60-seater shop will serve the quality coffee that has won over the hearts of the Nottingham public, comprising of a stylish fit out complete with the iconic 200 Degrees fireplace. Fifteen new jobs have been created at what will be the company's 17th coffee shop across the UK.

The roastery, opposite the Notts County Football Stadium at Heston House, launched in 2012, with the first cafe opening in Flying Horse Walk in 2014. It was followed soon afterwards by a branch in Carrington Street near the railway station. The coffee can also be found in cafes, pubs and restaurants across the county.

Rob Darby, CEO at 200 Degrees, said: “I am constantly blown away by the support we’ve had from the people of Nottingham. Having studied in Nottingham, going on to build a life and start a family here, the city has so many memories. It’s a privilege to build a thriving business and work with countless incredible people in a place that means so much to me. There seems no better way to celebrate ten years of 200 Degrees than to open a third shop in the city where it all began.”

As well as coffee, breakfast and lunch options will be served from a menu which includes freshly prepared sandwiches, pastries and cakes. The coffee offering is centred around 200 Degrees’ signature Brazilian Love Affair espresso blend and is complemented by a range of soft drinks, fruit smoothies and rich milkshakes.

Rob, who was recently awarded Leader of the Year at the East Midlands Leadership Awards, added: “The last two years have been full of unexpected events but our customers continue to love the brand and are as much to thank for our success as our fantastic team.” Rob and his business partner, Tom Vincent have expanded the 200 Degrees footprint across the north now boasting shops in major cities including Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, York and Birmingham.

The new Nottingham coffee shop will be open 7am-7pm Monday to Friday, 8am- 6pm Saturday, and 10am-6pm Sunday.
