Get ready, Fantastic Fest starts this week! While we’ll be on the ground, covering all your favorite genre films, there are still a few days to go. Meaning we have a few more women to celebrate who have made Fantastic Fest so amazing these last 20 years!
Today, we’re honoring Carlota Pereda! Pereda attended the festival in 2022 for her film Piggy. The film is a complicated look at doing the right thing versus protecting yourself. The Spanish language film hits for so many, especially the bullied, and allows audiences to really ask themselves what they would do if they were put into Sara’s position.
