
At least 20 people have been arrested in Los Angeles County for looting during the wildfires that are currently devastating the area. Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger expressed her firm stance against these criminal activities, stating that such behavior will not be tolerated. She referred to the looters as 'opportunists' and emphasized that she will not allow the already traumatic situation to be further exacerbated.
During a news conference, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna provided preliminary information indicating that a total of 20 individuals have been arrested, with at least 12 of them being linked to looting. However, he noted that the exact number of looting-related arrests is yet to be confirmed. The arrests took place across various impacted areas within the county.
