SONGKHLA: About 20 armed men overpowered six drug enforcement officers whose two-stage sting operation started well - but later ended with their abduction and the loss of the seized drugs, police sources said.
The sting operation began on Monday night when six officers lured drug suspect Thanakorn Suwanchana, 35, from Chiang Rai province, into selling 10 packs of methamphetamine pills in front of Ban Khuan Sator School in tambon Tha Chamuang of Rattaphum district.
