2 inmates found dead in South Carolina detention center housing unit

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Two inmates have been found dead in their housing units at the Greenville County Detention Center.

Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans said in a news release that the men were unresponsive when paramedics got to the jail Thursday and that the inmates were pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m.

He identified them as Allan Lindsay Zach, 36, and Randy Eugene Broome, 45.
