On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons will play their regular-season finale on the road against the New Orleans Saints. Both teams have a chance to win the NFC South but they need some help from the Carolina Panthers.
Two Falcons defenders can earn contract bonuses in Week 18. As Action Network reported, outside linebacker Bud Dupree and defensive lineman Calais Campbell can earn a combined $1.5 million if they hit these bonus incentives on Sunday:
- Defensive end Bud Dupree can receive a $1 million bonus for recording seven sacks. He is currently at 5.5 sacks. If he plays in 70% of the defensive snaps, he receives another $1 million. He is currently at 67% of the snaps.
- Calais Campbell has already earned a $500K bonus thanks to a five-sack season. If he continues to play 60% of snaps, he gets another $500K. He sits at 62% right now.
Dupree and Campbell each signed one-year deals with Atlanta over the offseason and they could be playing in their final game in a Falcons uniform on Sunday.
Atlanta is a three-point underdog against the Saints in Week 18. Sunday’s game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. ET at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
