The State Government on Tuesday approved a 2.75% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for State Government employees with effect from January 1, 2022.
DA was hiked from 24.5% to 27.25% of the basic salary and the Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association welcomed the decision.
The decision would result in an additional annual expenditure of ₹1,447 crore to the State exchequer, according to an order issued by the State Government.
