There were 32 more Covid-19 fatalities and 2,335 new patients admitted to hospitals on Tuesday, the Ministry of Public Health reported on Wednesday.
This compared with 33 coronavirus-related fatalities and 1,955 patients on Monday, as reported on Tuesday.
As of midnight Tuesday, a total of 21,099 people were receiving Covid-19 treatment (up from 20,947 the previous day), including 11,213 in hospitals (down from 11,226). Of the remainder, 238 were in field hospitals/hospitel facilities (down from 246) and 9,609 in home/community isolation (up from 9,436).
Of those in hospitals, 928 were seriously ill patients with lung inflammation (down from 935) and 471 dependent on ventilators (down from 478).
The 24-hour period also saw 2,151 patients discharged from hospitals after recovering.
Of the 2,335 hospitalised cases over the past 24 hours, 2,312 were in the general population and 23 among prison inmates.
The 32 people who died were aged from 14 to 97 years.
Bangkok logged one more death and there were six in the adjacent provinces of Samut Prakan (3) and Pathum Thani (3).
Other central plains provinces further from the capital reported 13 deaths - three in Prachin Buri, two each in Chon Buri, Rayong, Nakhon Nayok and Lop Buri and one each in Ang Thong and Phetchaburi.
The North reported five deaths - in Lampang (2) and Chiang Mai (3).
The Northeast saw five more coronavirus-related fatalities - two each in Udon Thani and Maha Sarakham and one in Ubon Ratchathani.
The South had two - in Krabi and Songkhla.
Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 4,611,741 Covid-19 cases, including 2,388,306 this year, with 4,558,947 complete recoveries to date.
The accumulated death toll stood at 31,695 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 9,997 so far this year.
Global Covid-19 cases rose by 769,711 in 24 hours to 591.17 million. The worldwide death toll went up by 2,060 to 6.44 million.
The United States had the most cases at 94.13 million, up 58,223, and the most deaths at 1.06 million, up 342.
