2,000 Followers, 1 Deleted Channel: How Isolation and Online Fantasy Shaped Ghaziabad Sisters

The sisters had gained attention last year after launching a YouTube channel dedicated to K-dramas and cartoon characters. The channel amassed over 2,000 followers within a few months. However, it was deleted around 10 days ago following disputes with their father, Chetan Kumar, who reportedly disapproved of their growing fascination with Korean culture.

A senior police officer said Kumar described his daughters as “living in their own world.” The girls had repeatedly spoken about visiting Korea after watching social media reels and other online content. “They ran only one channel, where they posted content about Korea and cartoon characters,” the officer said. The girls often styled themselves as royal characters such as Elsa and Cinderella and drew princess-themed cartoons.
